MFT Clinical Supervision In Texas
Get the Clinical Supervision You Need. Private Practice Growth, Clarity & Results
As a MFT candidate you’re building your future, not just collecting hours and though MFT clinical supervision may be a formality, it’s also a space where real growth happens. It’s where you begin to trust your instincts, find your voice as a therapist, and start imagining the private practice you want to build.
I’m Julia Wesley, LMFT-S based in Prosper, TX. I provide structured, supportive, and real-world clinical supervision for therapists working toward LMFT licensure in Texas. If you want to grow into a grounded, ethical, and successful therapist, I’d love to work with you.

Why I Became A MFT Clinical Supervisor In Texas
When I was an LMFT Associate, I had no idea how to find a supervisor and it made everything harder. I worked low-paying jobs, cobbled together supervision, and felt discouraged and overwhelmed. I don’t want that for you.
That experience shaped how I supervise today. I became an LMFT-S in Texas as soon as I could because I believe LMFTs play a vital role in the mental health field and I want to make sure we’re supported from the start. My work is grounded in systemic thinking and family therapy values, and I’m here to help associates grow into confident, ethical, and thriving LMFTs.
I’ve been a practicing therapist for over 25 years, and I’ve supervised new clinicians for many of those. My role is to help you grow into the clinician you’re meant to be, not just get your licensure. Together, we’ll look at your clinical skills, of course. But we’ll also talk about the practical realities of running a practice, building a life that sustains you, and figuring out who you want to be in the room with your clients.
MFT clinical supervision with me is supportive, collaborative, and honest. I believe in giving feedback with kindness and clarity and I’ll always hold space for both your clinical questions and your confidence wobbles. You don’t have to have it all figured out. That’s what I’m here for.
What Our MFT Supervision Work Together Looks Like
When we begin working together virtually, we meet weekly for one hour just as required by the Texas LMFT Associate licensure process. Our rhythm alternates: one week, it’s just the two of us and one other supervisee. The next week, it’s a group of six. This gives you the intimacy of dyadic supervision and the growth that comes from group learning and shared insight.
We’ll focus on your real cases, not hypotheticals. Bring your wins, your hard moments, your ethical dilemmas, and your self-doubt. I’ll bring a strong clinical lens, a warm presence, and honest reflection. Whether we’re talking about silence in the room or how to navigate a client’s betrayal trauma, you’ll get guidance that’s grounded and real.
We’ll also look at your therapy through a PACT-informed lens, especially if you’re working with couples. While I don’t provide EFT supervision, I help supervisees think systemically, ethically, and with attachment in mind.
For Future Private Therapy Practice Owners
A lot of MFT supervisors shy away from business conversations. I don’t. In fact, I love helping new therapists dream about and build their own private practices.
If you’re thinking about starting your own practice (or even just wondering if it’s possible), I can help you get there step by step. We’ll talk about what it takes to set up a business: how to create your paperwork, how to build a caseload that won’t burn you out, how to define your niche, set your fees, and decide on things like telehealth vs. in-person.
I’ll walk you through the logistics too: forming an LLC, saving for taxes, working with a CPA (or not), and choosing the best administrative system to support you.
You don’t have to figure it all out alone. I’ll help you build a business that feels aligned, ethical, and sustainable.
I am a great MFT Clinical Supervisor for you if you’re…
- Deeply curious about people and why we do what we do
- Wanting to learn, not just “check the box” for hours
- Interested in couples therapy, PACT, or relational dynamics
- Exploring clinical practices or planning your own private practice in the future
- Hoping to build a strong foundation in couples therapy, family dynamics, sex therapy, or relationship-focused work
- Ready to receive honest, kind feedback and grow from it
Please Note: I supervise LMFT Associates only. I do not supervise LCDC licensing.

What if I don’t know what kind of therapist I want to be yet?
Do you work with therapists who don’t plan to work with couples?
What makes you different from other MFT supervisors in Texas?
I bring warmth, honesty, and a strong clinical foundation, but I also bring practicality. I won’t just help you navigate tough client moments.
