Frequently Asked Questions for Julia Wesley’s Private Therapy Practice

Do you take insurance?
No, I’m a private-pay therapist and do not accept insurance. However, I can provide a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
All scheduling, intake forms, and secure messaging are managed through SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant client portal. Once we decide to work together, I’ll send you a link to get started.
My office is in Prosper, Texas, just north of Frisco. I also provide teletherapy to clients anywhere in Texas, and clinical supervision for LMFT Associates throughout the state.
I primarily work with:
  • Couples in crisis, especially those navigating infidelity, betrayal trauma, and disconnection.
  • Individuals healing from codependency, family dysfunction, or life transitions.
  • Clients in or around recovery, who are ready to work on relational repair.

PACT stands for the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy. It’s a neuroscience-based approach to couples work that integrates attachment theory, arousal regulation, and real-time observation of partner dynamics.

I’ve completed Level 3 training in PACT, which means I’ve spent years studying how couples create (or destroy) safety in their relationships. This approach helps partners move out of old conflict loops and build a secure-functioning relationship built on mutual care and protection.

Yes. While I’m still completing certification, I offer sex therapy as part of my work with couples. This includes support for:

  • Desire discrepancies
  • Painful sex
  • Hormonal or structural concerns
  • Rebuilding intimacy after betrayal or trauma
  • Navigating shifts in monogamy or non-monogamy

Sex is part of the relationship, not something to tiptoe around. We’ll talk about it in a safe, respectful, and non-shaming way.

That’s okay. I work with many couples who are uncertain about their future. Whether you stay or separate, therapy gives you the tools to make that decision with clarity and compassion.

If you choose to separate, I also offer divorce counseling to help you part ways in a healthy, respectful way, especially if children are involved.

Yes, with an important caveat: I only work with clients who are already in recovery or actively seeking to repair their relationships post-addiction. I don’t offer early-stage addiction treatment, but I’m deeply experienced in helping couples rebuild trust and connection in the wake of substance use.
Yes. I offer weekly clinical supervision for Texas-based LMFT Associates and love helping new therapists grow both clinically and professionally. I’m especially passionate about helping associates who want to build a private-pay, relationship-focused practice from the ground up, however, I welcome all therapists who want guidance, support, and supervision.
