About Julia Wesley, LMFT-S

Helping Couples Rebuild & Helping Therapists Build What’s Next

About Me

Hi, I’m Julia Wesley, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Prosper, Texas. I offer in-person sessions in the North Dallas area and teletherapy for clients throughout the state of Texas.

For over 25 years, I’ve worked with couples navigating infidelity, trauma, disconnection, and the long road back to trust. I’ve also supported individuals and young adults who are ready to untangle from codependency, heal from family pain, or learn to trust themselves again.

Whether you’re trying to save your marriage or find your voice in the middle of a life transition, I offer honest, steady support to help you move toward peace one healing conversation at a time.

My Approach To Therapy

You won’t find shame or “one-size-fits-all” therapy here. My work is grounded in science, rooted in real life, and infused with compassion, even when it’s hard.

I specialize in couples therapy using PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy), structural family therapy, and Brainspotting. My clients often come to me feeling stuck, hurt, or scared. Many are unsure if they even want to stay together after everything that’s happened. This is especially true when betrayal, mania, or substance use has caused real damage.

Together, we create clarity, safety, and a path forward. Whatever that looks like for you.

You might be here because:

If this is your last shot? I want to help you take it with everything you’ve got.

Clinical Supervision For LMFT Associates

In addition to therapy, I offer supervision for Marriage and Family Therapy Associates across Texas.

If you’re an early-career therapist, you don’t just need hours, you need a supervisor who gets what it’s like to build a practice, sit with deep relational pain, and still stay grounded in your own life. I’ve supervised dozens of clinicians through the licensing process, and I love helping new therapists grow both clinically and professionally.

Whether you’re starting in an agency, launching a private practice, or somewhere in between, our work will cover more than just theory. We’ll talk about confidence, caseload, boundaries, imposter syndrome, paperwork, policy, and how to keep your footing in this field long-term.

If you’re looking for a thoughtful, practical, and affirming MFT supervisor in Texas, I’d be honored to support your growth.

Julia Wesley’s Training & Credentials

I’m a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and an active member of the Relational Therapists of Dallas. These communities keep me grounded, connected, and constantly learning because good supervision (and good therapy) is never done in isolation.

Why I Do This Work

I grew up with an angry, alcoholic mother and a father who stayed through it all. I spent years wondering if I was crazy until a therapist helped me see that I was just reacting to crazy things.

Since then, I’ve faced health crises, grief, and the complexities of building (and rebuilding) relationships. I have adopted siblings, fostered dogs, spent time in a wheelchair, traveled the world, laughed with teenagers in therapy, and sat beside countless couples trying to pick up the pieces of something broken.

Through it all, I’ve learned this:

We all have the capacity to create the life we want — no matter what we’ve been through.

That’s what I love most about this work. Being a part of your story, as you write the next chapter.

What It’s Like To Work With Me

Clients describe me as warm, curious, and honest. I’ll challenge you, support you, and help you understand how your attachment style and nervous system are shaping the way you relate. I’ll help you make decisions based on your values, not out of fear. I’ll also remind you that healing is messy and worth it.

I work with individuals, couples, and supervisees in a hybrid model, seeing clients in-person (Mon–Wed) and online (as needed). I welcome people of all backgrounds, identities, and faiths.

Outside The Office

I’m a people person, a reader (fantasy nerd: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, WWII history), a rescue dog mom, and a community theater fan. I’m working my way through every U.S. National Park and love connecting with colleagues over coffee.

You’ll usually find me talking to strangers in elevators. And meaning every word.

Want to take the next step? Let’s begin.

I offer individual and couples therapy both in person at my office in Prosper, TX and virtually across the state of Texas. Whether you’re in North Texas or logging in from anywhere else in Texas, this work is available to you.

I’m happy to schedule a complimentary consultation to see if we’re a good match to work together.
