Frequently Asked Questions for Julia Wesley’s Private Therapy Practice
Do you take insurance?
What platform do you use for scheduling and paperwork?
Where are you located?
What kind of therapy do you offer?
I primarily work with:
- Couples in crisis, especially those navigating infidelity, betrayal trauma, and disconnection.
- Individuals healing from codependency, family dysfunction, or life transitions.
- Clients in or around recovery, who are ready to work on relational repair.
What is PACT?
PACT stands for the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy. It’s a neuroscience-based approach to couples work that integrates attachment theory, arousal regulation, and real-time observation of partner dynamics.
I’ve completed Level 3 training in PACT, which means I’ve spent years studying how couples create (or destroy) safety in their relationships. This approach helps partners move out of old conflict loops and build a secure-functioning relationship built on mutual care and protection.
Do you offer sex therapy?
Yes. While I’m still completing certification, I offer sex therapy as part of my work with couples. This includes support for:
- Desire discrepancies
- Painful sex
- Hormonal or structural concerns
- Rebuilding intimacy after betrayal or trauma
- Navigating shifts in monogamy or non-monogamy
Sex is part of the relationship, not something to tiptoe around. We’ll talk about it in a safe, respectful, and non-shaming way.
What if we’re not sure we want to stay together?
That’s okay. I work with many couples who are uncertain about their future. Whether you stay or separate, therapy gives you the tools to make that decision with clarity and compassion.
If you choose to separate, I also offer divorce counseling to help you part ways in a healthy, respectful way, especially if children are involved.
Do you work with people in recovery?
Do you supervise LMFT Associates?
